E' praticamente un sistema operativo con interfaccia grafica che sta su un floppy

Kolibri is coded in assembly language, which explains it’s small size to some extent, and forked off MenuetO – another tiny assembly language coded Linux distribution OS.

The distribution comes in two version – a floppy image and a disk image. The disk image is slightly larger than the floppy version at 3MB, but still incredibly small. There is no mention of hardware requirement anywhere on the site, but I guess it would run any antique piece you can find.

Current 0.7.7.0 release introduces several kernel, applications and libraries updates. We thank everyone participated and tried making this release a better one. Huge networking code changes, ATI video driver, HTMLV and DOWNLOADER integration for convenient web browsing and many other improvements — that is what we would like to get you excited today. avevo già visto alcune distro linux su floppy, ma l'interfaccia era essenziale, per la maggior parte testuale (tipicamente per creare firewall)

sono curioso di vedere cosa combina, mi scarico la ISO

masterizzata iso su un cd-rw e avviato il SO risulta davvero mininalista anche se graficamente gradevole (per essere una roba da pochi MB)

ovviamente non l'ho approfondito, ma a parte qaulche giochino e agli strumenti obbligatori come un textpad che altro ci si può fare??

appena ho un'attimo di tempo verifico se è possibile configurare la scheda di rete e quindi usare un browser (ammesso che ci sia) per navigare sul web

in assenza di tale caratteristiche si può ritenere del tutto inutile

(visto che rappresenta una variazione del progetto originale MenuetOS, proverò anche quello per vedere chi ha scelto la strada migliore)
